Warning to Ottawa Homeowners: Window Medics Ottawa: Unfulfilled Contracts, Ignored Messages, and No Service. Avoid Window Medics Ottawa. Our experience with this company, managed by Michael Joasil, has been an absolute nightmare of unfulfilled promises, taken deposits, and complete radio silence. Here is the exact timeline of how they failed us: • May 27, 2026: We paid $282.50 for a window de-fogging service. The contracted remedy was completely ineffective and failed to fix the problem. • August 12, 2026: We agreed to a window glass replacement and paid a $209.05 deposit via Interac e-transfer. Their technician, Nasir Mahmood, explicitly stated the glass would arrive by late August, with installation scheduled for early September. • September – October 2026: Once they had our deposit, they completely ghosted us. Michael Joasil and his "Window Medics Team" have repeatedly ignored our phone calls, text messages, and emails. We have tried multiple times to get a simple update on the status of our order, but they refuse to respond or return our messages. It is now October 19, and no glass has arrived, no installation has occurred, and they are completely dodging our communication. Because they failed to deliver services within 30 days of the agreed-upon timeline, they are in breach of the Ontario Consumer Protection Act. They are currently holding $491.55 of our money for failed and uncompleted work. We have formally issued a Notice of Cancellation demanding our funds back, which they have ignored. We have reported this directly to Consumer Protection Ontario, the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and Small Claims Court. Save yourself the stress, the lost money, and the frustration of being cheated and ignored. Do not hire Window Medics Ottawa, and if they have wronged you, take action.

In October 2022, I contracted Window Medics to replace a broken crank handle on a window. I paid a 50% deposit. Since then, I have gotten one delaying tactic after another from the company. The part is always going to be delivered next week, but when next week comes, it's next week again. This has been going on for four months now. The company refuses to return my deposit and they refuse to provide proof that the part has even been ordered. The company states that all deposits are non-refundable. So, even if they do not provide the service that you've paid for, they seem to believe they can walk away with your deposit. This is not legal. My only option now is to sue through small-claims court. Do not find yourself in my position. Do not trust this company.
