Window Medics Ottawa

In October 2022, I contracted Window Medics to replace a broken crank handle on a window. I paid a 50% deposit. Since then, I have gotten one delaying tactic after another from the company. The part is always going to be delivered next week, but when next week comes, it's next week again. This has been going on for four months now. The company refuses to return my deposit and they refuse to provide proof that the part has even been ordered. The company states that all deposits are non-refundable. So, even if they do not provide the service that you've paid for, they seem to believe they can walk away with your deposit. This is not legal. My only option now is to sue through small-claims court. Do not find yourself in my position. Do not trust this company.
