Rumi Restaurant
About Rumi Restaurant
Rumi Restaurant is a modern Middle Eastern restaurant in East Brunswick Village, in Melbourne's inner north. It opened in 2006 and is led by chef and owner Joseph Abboud, who draws on Lebanese Middle Eastern roots while also taking in Persian and other regional influences rather than following a single tradition. The restaurant is named after the 13th-century poet Rumi and is known for shared plates served in a communal setting, and it has received a number of awards since opening.
