NOT THE SAME OFFICE
NOT THE SAME OFFICE THAT HAD HIGH RATING! BEWARE! This office has changed, and its the worse! It pains me to even write this as I have been a patient here for over 8 years and each time I left I was always either laughing ,smiling or excited. Yesterday, was nothing like that, I have never even had a bad experience in this office ever. I called to make an appt which was shocked that they had availability the same day, because they are always booked. But, found out Dr. Schulte is only in the office 2 days a week now and there is a new Doctor named Jazmyn E. Laing that is there the remainder of the time. I researched her prior to coming to the office, and she recently graduated (2021), and I wanted to support, although I was only getting a cleaning, but would be able to meet her. Due to traffic I called and told them I would be 10min late. I arrived at 10:42 instead of the 10:30 scheduled appointment. Which I got permission that was fine. The hygienist called me back, said her name quickly, then nothing else. When I got in the room she hands me some shades that had finger prints all over the frames and lens. I asked what they were for, and she said “You need to wear these because im doing a cleaning”. I respond with I have never done that, and she says…in a very flippant way…”Well im using sharp instruments…and they should have been doing a-lot of things and this is one of them that they weren’t”. So I just barely slide the nasty glasses that were Cleary not cleaned on my face. She lays me back and starts to clean my mouth….using the word “clean” loosely. She kept hitting the top row of my teeth with the handle of the machine, which is extremely painful. I could tell she literally has very little experience so I was trying to not say anything…until she hit my front tooth, it sent a pain down my whole body, she was so oblivious that she was even hitting my teeth with a vibrating machine, and how that feels to someone when metal, that is vibrating, is hitting someones teeth. CRINGING typing that. When I stopped her that last time, she breathes hard sits back in her chair and says “I mean…do you just want me to stop”. Then uses some medical terms for something else she could do to my teeth. Im like what is that…..she was barely even cleaning my teeth then when she had to floss she didn’t even actually floss, not even pulling string through teeth. LOL it was a joke, I have a retainer and she didn’t even use any instruments to clean under my retainer. She left my mouth open for extended amounts of time, not allowing me to spit, and when I had to close my mouth to catch my breath and swallow again the flippant attitude came with her sitting back as if she was tired of me for not being a robot that they worked on in school. Im a real person, and it requires more than the dummies you have been working on. She then has to do a x-ray and because I have a smaller mouth, they have to position it slight back because it basically will cut the roof of my mouth, and I can’t bite down. I kept trying to tell her and she just said with her attitude” I mean its a machine that goes in your mouth so it clearly has to touch your mouth and the top of your mouth…I can stop and not do it then…do you want it?”. I just finally said no…she threw it down and walked out…gave the Doctor an ear full Doctor (Jazmyn E. Laing) comes in and is ok…but im trying to tell her what happened saying who ever she is, she can’t touch my mouth any further, trying to tell Dr. Laing what happened, and she cuts me off over talking me saying “NO NO NO….no one has everrrrr said anything about her….EVERRRRRYYYONEEE LOVES HER…SHE IS NICE…WE LOVEEE HER” very childish cutting me off, not allowing me to say anything just kept saying this over and over when I would try to tell her anything. So I finally said. “Fine you cannot take the feedback then”, and I just knew at that moment I would NEVER be back in this office. She needed to write a prescription for me, but due to the nature of how I was treated, I totally didn’t fill it, in fear of what the meds would do as she knows I have some allergies…yes thats how bad it was. I would fear that the Doctor there would do that. This is my experience, and it was one of the worse. I asked for my records and said I would sign the paperwork there…at this point everyone is filled in on what has happened and now treating me as a martyr. The office manger was nice enough but she is the only person who has been there, but again, she prob is not used to this or having people leave complaining or upset, because I would bet that is rare. Dr. Schulte built a marvelous practice, but if you think you are getting that now, NO. Unfortunately, he is limiting his time, and its winding down, and now his patients will either see him the two days, but still you have to deal with the inexperienced staff and hygienist first. Which is scary you mouth is nothing to play with.
