About Bacchus Late Bar

20 years ago saw the opening of Bacchus as a Blues wine bar, and by the late 80’s, the venue introduced DJ’s playing the sounds of Funk and Disco. More live gigs were to follow in the early 90’s including Indie/Rock bands such as Dodgy, Kula Shaker and The Bluetones, all of whom went on to enjoy great chart success.This combination of DJ and gig nights has continued, and today the current crop of local bands can be seen at the venue as well as regular DJ nights of Alternative/Rock, Hip-Hop/Funk, Disco/Cheese etc.
