The location of Orange’s first bank, the eponymous Union Bank of Australia, the site has a rich and interesting history, with a charming and sophisticated legacy. The property comprises of four buildings that are each significantly tied to the growth and development of the town, with first construction dating back to the mid-1850’s. Including being the premises of Orange’s first bank, previous tenants have also included the Commercial Bank, the School of Arts, an early police station and stables, the birthplace of Kinross-Wolaroi School, the Queen’s College, private residences and a boarding house.
