The story starts when I am 7 years old. I am living in Las Vegas with my family. One day I am with my older brother, who is 11 years old. My brother looks at me and says: “Okay, when we grow up, I will be the Doctor and you will be the Lawyer.” I say “Okay”. The matter is settled as only children can agree on such a thing. Fast forward to present day and my brother is a Doctor, working at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. I have my own personal injury law practice. My brother’s plan worked! When it was time to go to law school, the timing couldn’t have been better. I graduated from UNLV in the late ‘90s. At the time, Nevada didn’t have a law school. So, I was looking at law schools around the country. I found out that UNLV was opening a new law school and I applied. It turns out that I was the first student on the books. In 2000, UNLV’s Boyd Law graduated its first class of 5 newly minted law students, of which I was a part. I started out my legal career working at a family friendly insurance defense law firm. It was there that I learned about the law and how insurance companies put those injured under a microscope. I came to the realization that insurance companies treated people like numbers and believed that most people could not actually be injured in traumatic accidents. After this soul-sapping experience, I decided it was time to open my own law office. It is such a great feeling, helping people during the most difficult times of their lives. I now focus exclus
