Mavalli Tiffin Rooms, known as MTR, is a South Indian restaurant that traces its origins to 1924, when brothers Ganappaiah and Parameshwara Maiya opened the Brahmins' Coffee Club on Lalbagh Fort Road in Bangalore. It took the Mavalli Tiffin Rooms name in the 1930s and has occupied its Art Deco building on Lalbagh Road since 1959. The menu centres on classic tiffin dishes such as rava idli, masala dosa and filter coffee, along with a special thali. MTR now runs several outlets across Bengaluru, Karnataka and overseas.
