Mama Carolla's
About Mama Carolla's
Mama Carolla's is an old-style Italian restaurant on East 54th Street in Indianapolis, housed in a 1920s California stucco villa originally built by the RH Shelborn Company as a model home. The building retains a wood-burning fireplace, original wrought iron and most of its original light fixtures. The restaurant serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday, seating most tables on a first-come basis with limited reservations for larger groups early in the week. Gluten-free penne is available and most dishes can be prepared gluten-free. It has been featured in Indianapolis Monthly's list of essential local eats.
