About Luna Madre Midwifery

Luna Madre Midwifery is a maternity practice based in Chico that provides family-centered care for pregnant people. We provide home, birth center and hospital births with the support of knowledgeable and compassionate midwives. Our services include pre-pregnancy consultations, prenatal care, labor & delivery and postpartum care as well as breastfeeding support. The midwives also specialize in water births, placenta encapsulation and counseling services. Birth is a normal event and low risk candidates with healthy pregnancies can safely have a natural childbirth in their own home under the care of qualified midwives, with fewer medical interventions. The birthing person shares responsibility with their midwives for health decisions that affect them and their baby. We are committed to helping you achieve a safe and empowering birth experience.
