About Inferno's Bistro

The Inferno’s story began with Chef Fern Kirouac, who after moving to Winnipeg in the 1970’s, began his culinary journey, working at various iconic Winnipeg fine-dining establishments. Chef Fern opened La Vieille Gare in the 1980’s and worked alongside his son, Chef Fern Kirouac Jr. to make the restaurant a gastronomic success. Following his father’s footsteps, in 2003 Chef Fern Jr. opened his own award-winning St-Boniface restaurant, Inferno’s Bistro. The tradition continues today, as Chef Fern Jr.’s son, Chris Kirouac, recently opened a second InFerno’s location on Academy Road. The location and menus may be different, but the innovation and passion for fine cuisine are the same.
