Indo German Industries, also shortly known as IGI, is in the manufacturing and sales of diesel spares used in locomotives, marine and power sector. The brand Indo German Industries, Indo German Industries, offers an extensive range of locomotive products for the rail industry. In 1985, Indo German Industries started manufacturing spares for Indian railway locomotive – WDS4B (MAK) six cylinder engines indigenously against import substitute. Indo German Industries manufactured cylinder liner, piston, piston rings, etc. for the locomotive and supplied to Chittaranjan Locomotive works and zonal railways.
