El Gato Negro is a tapas restaurant by Simon Shaw that opened on Manchester's King Street in 2016, set in a restored three-storey townhouse. Its menu of seasonal small plates combines Spanish and local ingredients, mixing modern and traditional flavours. The ground floor has a bar, restaurant area and pavement seating, the first floor includes a Chef's Table overlooking the open kitchen, and the top floor holds a rooftop terrace with a retractable roof that can be hired privately. A sister restaurant operates on Castle Street in Liverpool.
