“As a kid Russell Soffer’s best friend was Pac-Man. He loved games and sweet foods, growing up in his Dad’s restaurant his love for baking grew. Dolce Bakery was introduced in 2011, passionate about serving the hospitality industry with only the most delicious baked confectionery and pastries. Dolce is sweet in Italian, an apt name for only the highest quality pastries at even better prices. Halaal certified, Dolce Bakery takes pride in its dedication to service excellence. From humble beginnings in a small 60m unit in Woodstock, the staff compliment consisted of father and son duo, Moshe and Russell and three motivated bakers. Gaining in popularity, expansion was inevitable. Moving to bigger premises in a quaint semi industrial business park, Observatory in Cape Town provided a better location for a larger production. We opened our shop in Observatory approximately 2 years ago… The smells off cookies and coffee permeate through the bakery to add to the relaxed atmosphere where you can catch up on various newspapers, there’s also free-wifi and a lovely shaded area outside adorned with plants and an art mural.
